ROV splash and recovery, avoiding the wrong moment

Prevent damage when passing equipment through the A-frame, through the moonpool or launching it over the side.

The challenge of using ROV’s

Predicting motion, protecting assets

In most operations that involve ROV’s once the ROV is in the water, the motions of the mother vessel no longer have impact. A trencher or other smart device can do its job down at the seabed almost whatever the sea state is at the surface. But recovery without damage is not easy. Operations often need to stop only because of the risk when recovering the equipment. If that can be fixed with 120 seconds green-light, no out of limit motions in sight, the job down below can be finished.

Next Ocean’s prediction system provides clarity when moving heavy equipment around on deck. By knowing the vessel motions before they happen, crews can make better go no-go decisions and reduce hazards.
